J. Barnes Décor (JB) is a full service design company focused on curating interiors that are fresh with style, suited for livable luxury. We offer services from small-scale organization projects to whole house renovations and our most popular service one-room transformations. Through client collaboration, coupled with an effective design process, it is our desire to design a space that reflects who you are. We want your new pace to inspire you to create beautiful memories and bring joy to all who enter.
Meet the Designer
Lisa January Barnes is the founder of J. Barnes Décor. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and a M.Ed. in Administration. With 17 years in education, she has honed her skills in logistics, time management and professional business practices. Lisa is now focusing on her passion for interior design and currently working on her Bachelors in Interior Design from Steven F. Austin University.
Her love for interior design started early on, watching her mother rearrange furniture to create different looks in the same space. She also watched her aunt, who was a lover of beautiful pieces, effortlessly incorporate each piece into every room. All of which were decorated with different themes. From this, Lisa has developed her own sense of décor style.
She enjoys trying new things, has an eye for fashion and loves all things beauty. Lisa is a total foodie but let’s not forget that she lives for a great workout class. Lisa currently resides in Houston, Texas with her wonderful husband and two beautiful children.
